Hello, my name is Stella Kim.

I was born in Seoul, Korea, but grew up in the tri-state area. I spent my yesteryears training at two of the largest entertainment companies in South Korea, and have built a steady social following over time among K-entertainment aficionados.

I studied Music Business at New York University for a year and changed majors after realizing everyone out-cooled me on the indie music spectrum. I took a year off from school and traveled to Seoul, where I regularly met with dermatologists, herbalists and doctors to improve my sensitive skin conditions. I worked as a skincare model for La Prairie Korea during this time, and developed a delicate spot for skincare and natural beauty products. Upon my return to NYU, I entered the realm of Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health in hopes of (someday) advocating inner wellbeing, which lends itself to natural beauty.

I am a NY Culture Writer for NYLON Magazine Korea ("New York Diary by Stella") print edition, a Contributing Writer for my favorite beauty website, Into The Gloss, and a Beauty Content Strategist. My extracurricular time is split between people-watching at downtown cafes and cycling alongside the Hudson River. When it comes to fashion, I give an impression of boyish insouciance...but my secret is that I spend tons of time trying to pull off this "effortless" look.

Sunday is the day to unwind from work, setbacks, crazy weekends, and worries, and the last day to relax and recharge for the upcoming week. Sundays remind me of satin bedsheets, rustic brunches, fresh mimosas, paperback books & lattes, and loved ones.
